Bodega Cauzon, natural wines from Sierra Nevada
Hi I’m Ramón Saavedra, I’m a small wine producer, and I’m “the man” behind Cauzón Winery.
After a while, I came back to my motherland, in the village of Graena in the Guadix district (Granada) and put into motion a project that bet on organic wines of excellent quality.
“Bodega Cauzón is something special, it’s not an ordinary winery, I define it as a laboratory.
A laboratory, not because I add addictive chemicals or other similar things, but the opposite, wines are completely natural.
I like to experiment with different types of wine elaboration depending on the grape harvest each year.”

The Romans established the wine culture in this region, in this period it had between 3,000 and 4,000 hectares of vineyards. The aforesaid culture was thoroughly spread during the period of Muslim control in Spain.
The area is located at the foot of Sierra Nevada at an altitude of about 915 m above sea level.
