Visit a lavender farm in Huete

Our first stop is our cave house, built in the XII century, and excavated in the very hill where the castle of Huete is located.
Here you can watch a short film outlining our work in the field and we will teach you all about the benefits and properties of lavender. That’s not all! We won’t let you go without making you try our delicious lavender liqueurs.
Soon after we will head out to our lavender fields where you can enjoy the marvelous landscape and take as many pictures as you like. An experience that you will not forget!

Beautiful off-the-beaten-track places in Castilla La Mancha

Located in the municipality of Cuenca en la region of Castilla La Mancha, Huete flaunts one of the most relevant monumental compounds of the province.
On the hill that dominates the town lays Castillo de Luna (the Castle of the Moon), a fortress of Islamic origin that was built on Celtiberian and Roman settlements. Today, only a stretch of the wall and one of the defense towers remain.

Walking through its narrow streets, you’ll come across important examples of religious architecture that embellish Heute. In Huete you’ll also find important museums, noble houses and old fortifications. The Monastery of Santa Maria de la Merced (founded in the 13th century and declared a Site of Cultural Interest in 1992) stands out from this historical set. .
