At the foothills of Sierra NevadaThe area is located at the foot of Sierra Nevada at an altitude of about 915 m above sea level.
The Romans established the wine culture in this region, in this period it had between 3,000 and 4,000 hectares of vineyards. The aforesaid culture was thoroughly spread during the period of Muslim control in Spain.

The area is located in the northern part of Granada, in Andalusia, Spain. It is surrounded by three national parks:
Sierra Nevada, Sierra de Baza, and Sierra de Huétor.
The hands of the men who grow most of these vineyards work in perfect symbiosis with the environment in the surrounding. Some wineries are provided of natural caves for aging their own wine, which maintain a steady temperature between 18 º – 19 º C.
A cultivation technique in absolute respect for the environment that results in wines that reflect their land´s flavors.
The “comarca” of Guadix
By the end of the nineteenth century, after the phylloxera plague, the vineyards were to be reduced to an only-familiar production. The growers had the need of changing the former production systems, using new techniques that provided greater efficiency. Those techniques have been improving for the next century until the present day when you already can taste high-quality products.
